This web presentation informs about the contractors*) which have demonstrated their qualification in accordance with Safety Standard KTA 1401 "General Requirements for the Quality Assurance" towards the German nuclear power plant operators. The Safety Standard KTA 1401 sets the requirements for the product- and system-related quality assurance of contractors. These are evaluated and confirmed by the German nuclear power plant operators. Thus, the contractors meet the requirements for the proper handling of nuclear contracts - including the required quality - and may provide safety-related products and services for the German nuclear power plants. The operators of the German nuclear power plants (EnBW Kernkraft GmbH, PreussenElektra GmbH, RWE Nuclear GmbH and Vattenfall Nuclear Energy GmbH) have joined together to establish the VGB Working Group "Contractor Assessment" to assess the contractors on the basis of common procedures and criteria. The assessment results are accepted across all operators. The assessment is performed product- and system-related at the contractor\'s premises and also includes the technical facilities, staff, quality assurance system, internal and external monitoring and the feedback of experience from the processing of orders.
